Anne Rene` Brashier makes emotionally gripping, physically dynamic, boldly engaging film and theater. She is passionate about telling adventure stories centering underrepresented heroes.

She recently received her MFA in film production at USC, where she directed Us vs Us, a documentary about political polarization during the 2020 Fall General Election (Catalina Film Fest, Global Shorts Fest).

Her film The Dermatologist, about a spy who discovers that her target is her mom, premiered at the Broad Humor Festival. She co-produced The Cypher, a short about a rapper struggling to deeply love himself, which premiered at Tribeca, screened at the American Black Film Fest, and is streaming on HBO.

She is currently in pre-production for her first feature, Dugout, an adaptation of MacBeth set at a Little League game. Dugout was first developed as a play with the Shakespeare Company of Los Angeles, and received further support at the Stowe Story LAb.

She was a 2019 NBCUniversal Writer's On The Verge finalist, and her scripts have won several competitions.

Her work has appeared at Indiecade, Company of Angels, Some Assembly Required, Sacred Fools, and the NYC, New Zealand, and Hollywood Fringe Festivals. She directed the LA Webfest award-winning webseries Corporate, and was nominated for Best Choreographer at the LA Weekly Theater Awards with the LA Theatre Ensemble.

She is also a former sailing instructor who performed for years as a singing & dancing microwave oven.
