Anne Rene` Brashier makes emotionally gripping, physically dynamic, boldly engaging film and theater.
She is passionate about telling adventure stories centering underrepresented heroes.
She brings her theatrical touch to branded storytelling, striving to find the authentically human in every moment.
As the Creative Director of Film & Motion at MOD in Philadelphia, she created video work for Comcast, Xfinity, Aetna, CVS, United, and more.
She received her MFA in film production at USC, where she directed Us vs Us, a documentary about political polarization during the 2020 Fall General Election (Catalina Film Fest, Global Shorts Fest). Her other films include Hex The Patriarchy (NewFest, OutFest, Wicked Queer, DisOrient), The Dermatologist (Broad Humor Festival), and Interpretive Dance (Indie Shorts LA).
She is currently in pre-production for her first feature, Dugout, an adaptation of MacBeth set at a Little League game. Dugout was first developed as a play with the Shakespeare Company of Los Angeles, and received further support at the Stowe Story Lab.
She was an NBCUniversal Writer's On The Verge finalist and her work has appeared at Indiecade, Company of Angels, Some Assembly Required, Sacred Fools, and the NYC, New Zealand, and Hollywood Fringe Festivals. She directed the LA Webfest award-winning webseries Corporate, and was nominated for Best Choreographer at the LA Weekly Theater Awards with the LA Theatre Ensemble.
She is also a former sailing instructor who performed for years as a singing & dancing microwave oven.
